Martijn Willers

Martijn Willers is a versatile Dutch pianist, performig on many (inter)national stages. Together with cellist Joris van den Berg (who won the first National Cello Competition in 2006) he forms a duo, which won the 3rd prize in the International Johannes Brahms Chamber Music Competition in Pörtschach, Oostenrijk. In May 2014 the duo won the Dutch Classical Talent Award in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and they toured in China, where they performed on 9 concerts in various prestigious concert halls.

Martijn regularly works with musicians such as Olivier Patey and many other musicians and ensembles. He works as accompanying pianist at the Conservatoire of Amsterdam and at the International Masterclasses in Apeldoorn. Besides performing, teaching is one of Martijn's passions.

Martijn received a revised Steinway & Sons grand piano, granted by the Nationaal Muziekinstrumenten Fonds.
