Alexandre Kordzaia, electronic music producer, performer and composer (aka kordz), was completed the degree of Audiodesign at the Music Academy of Basel in Switzerland, where he studied the composition of Electroacoustic music as well as the Art of recording and sound engineering.
In 2016 Kordz proceeded to study Composition with Professor Yannis Kyriakides and Peter Adriaansz at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, where he remains enrolled up to the current date. Kordz studies focus especially on the Art of combining electronic and acoustic instruments in his performances and compositions. In 2018 he was invited to tour with Christoph Altstaedt and the Junge Norddeutsche Philharmonie (JNP) in Germany, debuting in the Elbphilharmonie (Hamburg) and the Funkhaus Berlin. In 2018/19 his compositions, combining the orchestra with electronics, have been performed by the Residentie Orchestra The Hague, dedicated to the birthday of Louis Andriessen
Parallel to his work in the contemporary classical music scene, kordz is a frequent tour guest in Georgia since 2016, where he is holding a strong base in the independent electronic music culture. Performing Live Sets, solo and as a duo with Viola player Giorgi Zagareli, he is a regular guest at clubs & festivals such as Mtkvarze, Spacehall, Lolita, Fabrika, Tbilisi Open Air, Blacksea Jazzfestival, Tsinandali Awards.
Kordz is inspired as much by Classical Composers such as Maurice Ravel, Stravinsky as he is by Prince, James Brown, Ryuchi Sakamoto and Electronic Avant-garde pioneers like Bernard Parmeggiani.
