Emmy Verhey

Emmy Verhey is one of the great Dutch violin players of the last decades. Because of her professionality and artistic idealism she is a much asked solo player. She playes regularly on Dutch and foreign concert stages.
As solo violin player she performed with conductors such as Jansons, Chailly, Haitink, Marriner, Vonk, De Waart, Fournet, Benzi, Entremont and Spanjaard. Emmy worked with musicians such as Yehudi Menuhin, Igor Oistrach, Misha Maisky, Antonio Meneses, Youri Egorov, Janos Starker and Maria João Pires. She recorded over 50 cd's.
Emmy is a popular chamber musician. She playes regularly with Klára Würtz, Paolo Giacometti, the Amsterdams Hoorntrio and the Amédée Trio, together with Paul Komen and Godfried Hoogeveen.
