Annemieke Boot

Annemieke Boot studied piano and viool at the conservatoires of Groningen and Utrecht. During het studies she discovered her passion for chamber music and teaching. By working as accompanying pianist and performing in many ensembles Annemieke has a lot of experience in both.

With viola player Annemieke Huls she founded the Ensemble Montage, a new generation ensemble which tries to surprise the audience experimenting with form, space and presentation. In challenging programs they combine music with other art forms such as literature and visual arts.
Since 2013 Annemieke is part of the Onyxtrio with Violinist Marina Meerson and Mariëlle Rijkaart. With this trio Annemieke worked on various repertoire, from Mozart to contemporary music.
Besides that Annemieke accompanies many students on conservatoires and festivals.

Annemieke teaches violin and piano in Amersfoort, both for beginners and more experienced musicians. With colleague Mara van Pommeren she created a unique method, the animal method. The first two parts of this project were released in 2013, ‘Klavierleeuwen’ and ‘Podiumbeesten’ and are used by many piano teachers in The Netherlands.
