Annemieke Boot
Annemieke Boot (1981) started with piano lessons at the age of 8 and with violin lessons at the age of 13. During high school she was accepted to the Youth Talent Class of the Prince Claus Conservatoire. After her graduation she studied piano with Paul Komen and violin with Florian Donderen. Annemieke finished her master with Klara Würtz at the Hogeschool van de Kunsten in Utrecht.
Besides solo repertoire Annemieke is focussing on chamber Music and accompaniement. Since 2004 she has a duo with clarinetist Anna voor de Wind, with whom she regularly performs in The Netherlands and abroad. In 2008 the duo was awarded the second prize in the chamber music category of the "Concorso Internazionale di Musica per Giovani Interpreti" in Italy. Annemieke is asked regularly to work on projects of the Ligety-Academy (for contemporary music of the Asko Schönberg Ensemble for master-students of Dutch conservatoires. Annemieke is a regular accompaniement pianist of the Peter the Great Festival.
Annemieke took masterclasses with Daniel Blumenthal, Klara Würtz, Bart van Oort, Vladimir Tropp, Joanna Mc Gregor and Noel Lee. Annemieke received an honorary award at the Prinses Christina Concours and took part in various festivals and summer schools in The Netherlands and abroad.
