The board and management of the Peter the Great Festival are happy to inform you that Paul Komen will be the new artistic director of the Peter the Great Festival. He will succeed Rian de Waal, who passed away in May 2011. Paul is teacher in piano and chamber music at the Prince Claus Conservatoire. Paul has been active in the festival as a teacher and musician since the start of the festival. Jan-Ype Nota (cello) and Marion van den Akker (mezzo soprano) will assist him with his activities. Both Jan-Ype and Marion are teachers of the Prince Claus Conservatroire and also at the Peter the Great Festival.
