The Opening Concert traditionally gives a preview of the coming festival. Debussy will play an important role this year, with a selection of his Préludes and Images. The concert starts with music composed by his young, talented contemporary Lili Boulanger. We travel from the Soviet Union to the United states and Bohemia where Dvorak's festive String Quintet will finish the program.
