In 2000 pianist and componist Viktor Chouchkov compiled a program for the Peter de Grote Festival with Bulgarian 20th century chamber music. This was an adventurous and successful concert. The huge variety in styles, usually based on rhythmic folk music, caused a beautiful overview of Bulgarian culture. For this anniversary edition of the festival Chouchkov made a new program with more recent works.
