Monique Krüs

Composer and soprano Monique Krüs is born in Utrecht and studied guitar and vocal at the Conservatoire in Utrecht and the Mozarteum in Salzburg. For three years she was soprano at the Opera house in Essen (Germany). Many roles brought her through all of Europe and she cooperated in many world premières.

Monique worked with a large number of Dutch orchestras, with directors such as Reinbert de Leeuw, Peter Eötvös and Jan-Willem de Vriend. For a special performance of the 'Stabat Mater' by Pergolesi she was invited by the Orchestra of the East with Jaao van Zweden. She is involved in the popular Utrechtse Oudegracht Opera Concert, of which she is the artistic leader.
