The Hermitage Quartet came together for the Peter de Grote Festival 2015, for which they were invited by artistic leader Paul Komen to perform a number of grand quartets. The quartet was praised both by the audience as well as the press. The Dagblad van het Noorden wrote: 'Sharp as a knife and extremely exciting' they wrote on their performance of Janaceks Intimate letters.

The Hermitage Quartet consists of Jacobien Rozemond (violin), Floor Le Coultre (violin), Francien Schatborn (viola) and William McLeish (cello)

Jacobien and Francien have already a long career with principal positions in leading ensembles and orhcestras in The Netherlands (Amsterdam Sinfonietta Radio Philharmonic Orchestra etc.) and have performed with many great conductors and soloists.
Floor Le Coultre and William McLeish are young, promising musicians who are working on building such a career. Floor has finished her studies with distinction at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and has been awarded many prizes. Canadian cellist William will graduate in 2016 with famous cello professor Michel Strauss.
