Floor le Coultre

Floor Le Coultre (1990) started her violin lessons with her aunt Josien le Coultre and continued her lessons with Joyce Tan in Utrecht. After graduating she started studying at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague with Ilona Sie Dhian Ho.

She finished her master studies in 2015 with a 9,5 and distinction. Since 2012 she also takes lessons with Pavel Vernikov as Erasmus student in 2013/2014 in Sion, Swiss, and a 2 year course, ‘corso di perfezionamento’ at the Scuola di Music di Fiesole in Italy. For this she was supported by the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds.

In 2011 Floor was awarded Young Music Talent Netherlands in the final of the Stichting Jong Muziek Talent Nederland. She won many awards at competitions, such as the Labberté-Hoedemaker Award at the Peter de Grote Festival in 2011.

Floor played as solist with many orchestras, for example in Ein Heldenleben bij Strauss, in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, which was broadcasted live on Radio 4. Floor is also very active as chamber musician.

Floor plays on a French violin by Pierre Silvestre from 1858, which was disclosed by the National Music Instrument Foundation.
